The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) is the world’s largest professional body of management accountants. In its objective to inspire and encourage students to go beyond their studies, CIMA organized the very first Malaysian Junior Apprentice (MJA) in 2013 targeted towards over 3,000 secondary schools throughout Malaysia. Entries were then shortlisted and participants were invited to a 3-day entrepreneurial workshop at UiTM, Shah Alam prior to the grand finals.
Online Strategist Jan Wong was among the other entrepreneurial speakers to share his startup experience with the students, how to produce an effective digital marketing campaign and some tips to assist them in preparing for the grand finals. This workshop was attended by the finalists from various secondary schools nationwide. Other speakers include Serena Razaly (Owner of Restaurant Enak KL), Bambang Soteto (Hair Stylist), Johan Nasir (Don’t Panic Malaysia) and more.
