Sime Darby Oils
Sime Darby Plantation’s legacy systems were slow, resulting in costly upgrades that limited the adoption of newer processes, as well as a lack of comprehensive communication among various systems in their ecosystem. Furthermore, information gaps, manual workflow handling, spreadsheet processes, and the lack of system-based controls all contribute to inconsistencies in data accuracy and oversight.
We created adaptable software for SDPB that allows for integration with existing systems and the development of new modules. This ensures ownership while avoiding long-term vendor ties and fees. We collected accurate data at key points using mobile and IoT technology. For non-digitizable processes, frontline employees used mobile apps, while data from digitised peripherals was centralised for further processing.
Launched first phase in April 2020 and development was completed in end-2021 to include support for other countries around the world.
Needed to catch up with large eCommerce players like Lazada & Zalora before completely losing their market share in the online retail space.
An integrated eCommerce system was built with complex integrations between SAP, Microsoft LS Retail and Ulysses CRM that collectively manages data synchronisation of customer data, login information, inventory, POS sales, and accounting entries and documentation for order fulfilment.
The eCommerce store and S Card loyalty program now handles more than half a million customers.
